Job Description:

As a Social Media Specialist at Essence Adverts, you will play a central role in shaping how our clients show up across platforms. You’ll be responsible for planning, creating, and publishing engaging content that sparks conversations, builds community, and drives measurable results. Working closely with our creative, media, and strategy teams, you’ll ensure that every post, reel, and story reflects the brand’s voice and aligns with performance goals. Whether it's driving awareness, engagement, or conversion, you’ll own the process from concept to execution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, create, and schedule social media content across platforms (Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.).
  • Write compelling captions, curate visuals, and collaborate with designers and editors to bring content to life.
  • Manage publishing calendars and ensure timely, consistent posting aligned with brand tone and objectives.
  • Shoot Reels and short-form videos in coordination with the content team, ensuring quality, creativity, and relevance to the brand’s voice.
  • Monitor community conversations, respond to messages and comments, and manage brand voice in real-time.
  • Track content performance and report on key metrics, suggesting optimizations to improve results.
  • Stay up to date on social trends, formats, algorithms, and platform updates to inform strategy and content.
  • Collaborate with strategy and media teams to support campaign launches and performance initiatives.
Qualifications :
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience managing social media for brands, preferably within an agency environment.
  • Proven ability to craft engaging content for different platforms with a strong sense of visual and written storytelling.
  • Hands-on experience with tools like Meta Business Suite, TikTok Ads Manager, Canva, or similar platforms.
  • Understanding of content formats, algorithms, and trends across Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to extract insights from metrics and apply them to future content.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines simultaneously.
