Accountant

As an Accountant at Essence Adverts, you will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records, overseeing transactions, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and local regulations. You’ll be responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations, managing reports, handling invoicing, and collaborating with internal teams to maintain financial accuracy. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a proactive mindset to support a growing creative agency.

• Manage day-to-day accounting tasks including journal entries, accounts payable and receivable, and reconciliations.
• Issue client invoices, follow up on collections, and maintain up-to-date records of receivables.
• Track agency expenses and ensure proper documentation, coding, and approval workflows.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Reconcile bank statements, petty cash, and digital payment platforms (e.g., PayPal, Wise, etc.).
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and legal consultants when needed.
• Ensure compliance with Egyptian tax regulations (VAT, withholding tax, etc.) and assist with filings.
• Support financial analysis for management reporting and client billing structure when required.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in an agency or service-based environment.
• Strong understanding of Egyptian accounting and tax laws; GCC tax experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Zoho Books) and MS Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial recordkeeping and reporting.
• Good command of English and Arabic, both written and spoken.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
